Friday the 13th- Feminine and Feline Celebration
Happy Friday the 13th
HAPPY DIVINE FRIDAY THE 13TH
Black cat beauty
Friday the 13th is a day that is traditionally feared. It involved spooky black cats and avoiding ladders… men in hockey masks killing teenage campers.
But how did this happen? It was once considered a day to celebrate the Divine Feminine, honor the life force within us all, and respect the powerful cycles of creation, death, and rebirth. What better way to do this than celebrate the day with the ancient symbols of feminine energy around us- our cats!
Many are reclaiming the origins of this day and celebrating it as a very powerful day to manifest, honor creativity, and celebrate beauty, wisdom, and nourishment of the soul. Cats have always played a part in the mysterious and mystical, it is no coincidence even the most fierce and majestic cat goddess of Ancient Egypt, Sekhmet, was enshrined in all black.
Then there is 13 – a divinely feminine number. Why? Well, in part because it is the number of moon cycles each year and our cycles as women flow with those 13 moon cycles. The moon itself represents feminine energy and is connected to, and can have a pull on the emotions and sensitivities of humanity. Put this all together – and voila! Today I choose to reclaim Friday the Thirteenth as a celebration of love, intuition, cycles of life, connection to self, soul and soulmates, fertility in all its forms and a day to honour feminine energy.
Maybe today you can celebrate your divine feline energy by enjoying a nice cup of catnip tea with your beloved cats and kittens. It is wonderful for the human digestive system, and (most!) cats will enjoy a good crazy fun session while you relax.
Simply boil 2 tsp of catnip in 2-3 cups of water with some chamomile or lavender if you have it! Let some cool, and your feline companion may just join you.
“If a black cat crosses your path, it signifies that the animal is going somewhere.”
Next Week in A Healed Cat
Next week we will dive in to some topics of immediate health concern to cats and kittens, as well as how to address them without toxic chemicals.
Limping Calici is first on the list, as it is often simply referred to as, “fading kitten syndrome” or “failure to thrive.” It is actually the onset of Feline Calicivirus, and is one of the most serious threats to neonatal kittens. Healthy adult cats can have this highly contagious yet common virus in their systems for years with no visible symptoms. But if triggered in a baby, it can kill them in days.
We will also dive in to some alternative therapies for your cats and kittens to keep in your cabinets. In fact- some may already be there, like the illustrious coconut oil and good old Apple Cider Vinegar. You might be pleasantly surprised how many ways they can help your loved ones
Have a lovely, divine Friday the 13th!
